Wild Coast Excursions – Juneau’s Bear Viewing Specialists
Wild Coast Excursions specializes in private and small-group brown bear viewing tours from Juneau, offering fly-in access to Southeast Alaska’s most iconic wilderness bear viewing areas, including Pack Creek on Admiralty Island, and Waterfall Creek on Chichagof Island. Our trips are carefully timed to optimize seasonal bear behavior, with early summer coastal bear viewing in May and June and peak salmon-season bear viewing from late July through September. This focus on remote, small-group experiences delivers some of the best brown bear viewing in Juneau, the Inside Passage, and Southeast Alaska.
Our guides include former U.S. Forest Service Wilderness and Pack Creek Rangers, and lead bear viewing guides with over a decade of wilderness bear guiding experience and who are trained in bear behavior, responsible wildlife management, natural history, safety, and Leave No Trace ethics. Wild Coast Excursions is a leader in responsible wilderness travel, operating under exclusive special use permit and prioritizing wildlife well-being on every trip. We operate all carbon-negative trips through emission reductions in partnership with the Alaska Carbon Reduction Fund / Alaska Heat Smart program, and incorporate regenerative practices such as efficient flight scheduling, composting and recycling, local sourcing, and using reusable or compostable packaging for our trip’s catered meals. We are also Juneau’s only business member of the 1% for the Planet program.
