Dew Claw Kennel

Join us for your private dog sledding adventure. Dew Claw kennel is home to distance mushers Dan Kaduce, Jodi Bailey, and their kennel of friendly Alaskan Huskies. They are located in beautiful Chatanika, Alaska. They are passionate about dogs and addicted to mushing.

We offer multi-day and overnight camping trips, as well as a day “Learn to Mush” experience. Drive your own team on beautiful trails, enjoy camp cooked meals, relax around the campfire while you watch for Aurora, and sleep comfortably in heated tents. Our private adventures mean you get to set the pace and experienced guides are always with you. Hot meals are cooked at camp with a variety of menu choices. The dogs stay at camp giving you extra time to get to know your canine athletes.

In addition to seeing spectacular scenery while traveling by dog team there is time for photography, exploring by snowshoe, or just hanging out with the dogs at camp. We cater to small groups who prefer a private tour, allowing us to customize the experience. If you have special requests or questions please feel free to contact us.

Dan and Jodi are both accomplished distance racers, veterans of both the Yukon Quest and Iditarod, as are the dogs you will be traveling with. The Dew Claw dogs are a super energetic friendly group. Both dogs and guides are looking forward to sharing our enthusiasm for mushing and the Alaskan outdoors.

Join us for a uniquely Alaskan adventure.

Alaska Travel Connections

As a small, local company, ATC creates customized Alaska vacations for independent travelers, couples, families, and small groups. From our base in Wasilla, we develop and maintain relationships with lodges, bed and breakfasts, attractions, the Alaska Railroad, rental car agencies, air and boat charters, adventure outfitters and guides, and a myriad of other suppliers throughout the state.

We travel to the places and go on the excursions to ensure that every element on every ATC itinerary is top quality. Our knowledgeable, local, multilingual tour guides cater to small groups or families who want to get away from the crowds and connect with Alaskans and nature. We think outside the box and perfectly tailor excursions, style of accommodation, and route for every client. Alaska is our home, let our expertise help you realize the vacation of your dreams.

Seward Ocean Excursions

Seward Ocean Excursions offers year-round, boat-based adventures in beautiful Seward including wildlife and whale viewing, glacier tours, water taxi, SCUBA diving, photography trips, custom trips, and more. We are a locally-owned and family-run business. We pride ourselves in providing custom, small group trips all year long!

Boreal Journeys

Our passion is making our guests feel comfortable and connected in the northern Alaskan forest that we call home. We are a small-scale, family-run business focused on providing authentic experiences for our guests. We offer single or multi-day adventures dog sledding, skiing, and snowshoeing. We take only private groups of 1-4 people and customize the experience to each group’s desires to create unforgettable adventures.

We strive to live as close as we can to the place we’re in. We hunt, fish and grow much of our food for us and our dog family. We feed our guests healthy, homemade and local food. We do our best to use technology that doesn’t insulate us from a direct experience with our environment. On a trip with us, you will travel on trails we have cut, stay in tents we have sewn or cabins we have built and use gear that is made from and indigenous to the area we’re traveling in. We live in the place we guide, and we want to make sure that it is still just as beautiful and bountiful when we’re in the ground and future generations are tromping around.

Arctic Dog Adventure Co.

At Arctic Dog Adventure Co., we have a genuine interest in taking care of our clients, our community, and the distinctive landscapes of Northern Alaska. Our speciality is long distance travel by dog sled, providing low-impact access to pristine wilderness areas. We offer dog sled tours rooted in principles of sustainability, authenticity and “rustic luxury” — warm, comfortable accommodations in the most remote and wild places, and an emphasis on utilizing locally sourced ingredients and products. To us, ecotourism is about offering our clients a responsible, authentic Alaskan experience. Travel by dog team is an ideal way to realize this. Sled dogs have been part of the Northern landscape for millennia. Their thick fur, tough pads and indomitable desire to pull make them perfect companions in Northern travel and exploration.   Our dogs are the heart and soul of our operation. We pride ourselves on offering our huskies the highest standard of dog care possible. Guests who visit us will meet dogs that are happy and content. It brings us great joy to share our love and respect for our dogs, and the landscapes of Interior Alaska, with others.
