Alaska Wildland Adventures

Alaska is our home, and we’ve been committed to providing the highest quality trips from the beginning, over 40 years ago. We were among the first to offer raft explorations of the Kenai River into the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, and we pioneered small-group explorations from the protected areas of Kenai Fjords National Park and the Kenai Peninsula to Denali National Park and Preserve. We know all the areas we visit intimately. Today, we are proud to continue this tradition as Alaska’s leader in soft adventure trips. We believe smaller groups mean bigger experiences, better memories and more smiles.

Allen Marine Tours

The best way to experience Southeast Alaska’s majestic scenery, amazing wildlife, Native history, and frontier lifestyle is on the water. Almost every feature of this vast coastal wilderness is shaped by water and ice. And almost every community – of both animals and man – is nourished by the bounty of the sea. In this paradise of countless islands, the surest formula for having the adventure of a lifetime is to just add water! Allen Marine Tours is a family-owned company based in Sitka that has been conducting day-cruises for Alaska’s visitors since 1970. Three generations of the Allen family are active in the company. With a fleet of over 25 vessels – and operations based in Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka – we are the largest and most experienced day-cruise company in Alaska.

All of the vessels we operate were built by us in our Sitka shipyard. Catamarans dominate our fleet. The superior speed, maneuverability and stability of their twin-hull design is perfect for Alaskan waters. Our many years of sightseeing experience are evident in each vessel we design and build. Our highest priorities are safety, comfort, panoramic viewing, and exceeding your expectations.

Bear Paw Adventure

Bear Paw Adventure’s four uniquely Alaska log vacation homes are situated on an original Alaska homestead site on the west side of the Kenai Peninsula near historic Anchor Point. The property has been kept as natural as possible providing habitat for wildlife such as moose and eagles that will be seen among the spruce, alders, willows and wildflowers. The buildings have been constructed primarily using simple hand tools from beetle-killed spruce taken off the property or nearby forests. Guests will enjoy the craftsmanship used in joining the logs and the unique log stairways, handrails and hand carvings. Be prepared to enjoy a sample of real Alaska with the comfort of warm and cozy energy-efficient heating, modern appliances, leather furniture and generous supplies. Located away from the busy commercial tourism centers, this is the place to get close to nature and enjoy real Alaska. Restaurants, shops, tour agencies and activities are just minutes away. Free on-site activities include wildlife viewing, horseshoes, beach volley ball, badminton, lawn croquet, miniature disc golf and picnicking. Bear Paw also provides free adventure planning and booking assistance for lodging guests and offers a variety of packages that can be customized to your interests.
