Seldovia Nature Tours

Join me for a custom walking tour or hike in Seldovia! If you are interested in natural and cultural history, birds, wildflowers, photography, and tidepools, this will be a good fit for you. I will work with you to create an experience that is a perfect fit for your interests and abilities, whether it’s a relaxing stroll around town or a hike in the wilderness.

I’ve been running my woman-owned, single-employee business since 2018, and strive to create a travel experience of the sort I would like to have myself: affordable, human-powered recreation, quality insider knowledge with a local guide, personal attention, and small group size. Contrary to the current travel industry practices, rather than selling you an expensive package deal, I take an à la carte approach. You only pay for the services or items that you want.

Located across Kachemak Bay from Homer, Seldovia is accessible only by boat or plane and offers you a vacation from your vacation. It’s the perfect place to get away from it all, see the real Alaska, and take a big breath of fresh air. Although it’s an easy day trip from Homer, I recommend you spend at least one night. No matter how long you stay, you’ll wish you had more time here.

As part of my low carbon footprint lifestyle, I don’t own a vehicle. If you’d like to go beyond the Main Street area we will hire a taxi or rent a golf cart. This supports other local businesses and makes your tour custom-tailored to your needs.

I keep it simple and organic, and go with the flow — or “live by the tide,” as we say here in Seldovia!

Hope to see you here soon.

Wrangell Mountain Air

Wrangell Mountain Air’s base of operations, in McCarthy, Alaska, is positioned deep within Wrangell-St. Elias National Park – America’s largest national park at 13.2 million acres and part of the world’s largest preserved wilderness. Guests enjoy daily scheduled air service between McCarthy and Chitina, fly-in day tour packages with guided glacier hiking or tours of the historic Kennecott mill building, charter air taxi service from many towns in Alaska, and world-class flightseeing. For the adventurous, fly-in hiking and backpacking trips, rafting, glacier trekking, and wilderness camping are highly recommended as day, or multi-day adventures. Visitors cannot grasp the scale and grandeur of Wrangell-St. Elias until they fly above it in a small aircraft. We believe that Wrangell-St. Elias offers the best scenery in all of Alaska and, combined with our competitive rates and 30+ years experience, is the best flightseeing opportunity in Alaska!

We at Wrangell Mountain Air consider ourselves very fortunate to share these amazing glacial surroundings with our passengers. At the same time, we’re quite aware that the aircraft so necessary to this task do contribute to climate change – and environmental shifts we see as we fly through the Alaskan wilderness. As a company, we seek and contribute to projects which help offset the carbon dioxide that our airplanes produce. Our goal is to be carbon neutral in our air operations and we gladly match passengers‘ collective contributions up to $1,500, each year. We hope you will join us in aiming for a carbon-neutral footprint in the sky this summer!

Out To Sea Expedition Company

Founded in 2019 by Ketchikan locals Delaney Murphy & Eric Lunde, Out to Sea Expedition Company’s mission is to explore our world with an adventurous spirit in a sustainable way.
