Wrangell Mountain Air

Wrangell Mountain Air’s base of operations, in McCarthy, Alaska, is positioned deep within Wrangell-St. Elias National Park – America’s largest national park at 13.2 million acres and part of the world’s largest preserved wilderness. Guests enjoy daily scheduled air service between McCarthy and Chitina, fly-in day tour packages with guided glacier hiking or tours of the historic Kennecott mill building, charter air taxi service from many towns in Alaska, and world-class flightseeing. For the adventurous, fly-in hiking and backpacking trips, rafting, glacier trekking, and wilderness camping are highly recommended as day, or multi-day adventures. Visitors cannot grasp the scale and grandeur of Wrangell-St. Elias until they fly above it in a small aircraft. We believe that Wrangell-St. Elias offers the best scenery in all of Alaska and, combined with our competitive rates and 30+ years experience, is the best flightseeing opportunity in Alaska!

We at Wrangell Mountain Air consider ourselves very fortunate to share these amazing glacial surroundings with our passengers. At the same time, we’re quite aware that the aircraft so necessary to this task do contribute to climate change – and environmental shifts we see as we fly through the Alaskan wilderness. As a company, we seek and contribute to projects which help offset the carbon dioxide that our airplanes produce. Our goal is to be carbon neutral in our air operations and we gladly match passengers‘ collective contributions up to $1,500, each year. We hope you will join us in aiming for a carbon-neutral footprint in the sky this summer!

Talkeetna Air Taxi

The heritage of Talkeetna Air Taxi dates back to the early days of flying in Alaska. Today we continue to lead the way in exploring the Alaska Range and Denali National Park. We have expanded the meaning of expedition support for climbers to include logistical support, up-to-date route information and/or photos, unique base camp locations, mid-climb route checks, as well as remote and unclimbed peak information.

Denali Photo Guides

Denali Photo Guides has been offering small group, instructional photography excursions since 2010. Tours are designed to benefit visitors to Denali National Park who have an interest in photographing the beautiful landscapes in Alaska. Tours travel in luxury trucks along the boundary of Denali National Park, into Broad Pass, and on the Denali Highway, stopping several times to get out and shoot pictures. Tours are typically 3 to 4 hours in duration. Guests may have their own camera, rent one from us, or they may bring a smart phone. No matter what type of gear guests have or what their skill level is, our guides help visitors progress as photographers. With a maximum of 4 participants per tour, our guides spend a significant amount of one-on-one time with each guest. In addition to photography, guides also provide information about the area’s natural history, geology & culture. The small group size allows guests the freedom to ask any question they want (as many times as they want!). The combination of the small group with our selection of pristine locations fosters a truly immersive experience leaving guests with a lasting impression of the vastness, wilderness, and specialness of the Denali area.

Camp Denali

Camp Denali’s long standing family ownership is committed to preserving and refining the fundamental elements of our mission: excellence, community, and place. Your Camp Denali experience is personal. It is a unique blend of camaraderie among fellow adventurers and staff in a wilderness environment without parallel. At the core of our guest experience is a chance to be close to the land and, in exploring Denali’s wilderness, to learn about its ecology and history. More than facts and figures about Denali, we hope our guests return home with new ways of seeing, understanding, and taking care of the natural world in their own backyards. In addition, we hope that our own on-site sustainable practices, such as operating on renewable energy with our 90kW solar array and utilizing our greenhouse to grow our own fresh produce, will provide an opportunity for our guests, staff, and other small business owners in Alaska to learn about viable alternatives to the status quo. For us, providing excellent hospitality is not about attending to every luxury or amenity. Instead, we strive to ensure our guests’ comfort, meet their needs, and surpass their expectations.
