Wrangell Mountain Air

For the adventurous, fly-in hiking and backpacking trips, rafting, glacier trekking, and wilderness camping are highly recommended as day, or multi-day adventures. Visitors cannot grasp the scale and grandeur of Wrangell-St. Elias until they fly above it in a small aircraft. We at Wrangell Mountain Air consider ourselves very fortunate to share these amazing glacial surroundings with our passengers. At the same time, we’re quite aware that the aircraft so necessary to this task do contribute to climate change – and environmental shifts we see as we fly through the Alaskan wilderness. As a company, we seek and contribute to projects which help offset the carbon dioxide that our airplanes produce. Our goal is to be carbon neutral in our air operations and we gladly match passengers‘ collective contributions up to $1,500, each year.
